The Scream CT

The Scream CT

FAQ

Q: Didn't you used to be called "The Only Scream In Town"? Are you the same people?

A: NOPE! We are a completely new haunt run by new management with completely new scares! Many of the best actors from the previous haunt have returned, but the rest is all new!

Q: Then why is the name similar?

A: We do this haunt in honor of our fallen comrade Olek Golinowski who passed away of a sudden heart attack before the start of the haunt season two years ago. It was Olek who came up with the original name for the haunt, and while we wish to separate ourselves from the former residents, we also wish to carry on his legacy.

Q: Is it scary?

A: We like to think so, but everyone is scared of something different. Come on by and judge for yourself!

Q: When are you open?

A: We open Friday, October 6th and run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through to the 29th. We are NOT open on Halloween this year. We will however also be open for a SPECIAL event on Saturday, November 4th with limited tickets that you'll want to be on the lookout for. Check our "Hours" page and/or Facebook page for up to date information and specific times! We are outdoors so we may be limited by mother nature.

Q: How much are tickets and can I buy them at the door?

A: Tickets are just $15! Ticket booth opens at 7pm each night, and runs until close or until we sell out! Want to make sure you've got tickets for the evening? Buy them online ahead of time, or visit The Only Game In Town and pick them up at the front counter!

Q: Do you offer group discounts?

A: Yes! For groups of 20 or more, call our box office or email us for group bookings.

Q: Are there discounts for children or the elderly?

A: Unfortunately no, the reason for this is because we do not encourage the little monsters to come and be too scared to come back when they're older. We also do not want to encourage anyone who is not physically capable to endure the sensory overload of our attractions. We are more concerned about the safety and mental health of our customers than we are about making a quick buck!

Q: Are the attractions at The Scream CT handicap accessible?

A: For the most part, yes. We do not recommend anyone in a wheelchair attempt the attraction, however crutches or braces should be fine.

Q: What do you guys offer the community?

A: We offer a safe environment for people of all ages to come and have a great time! We are HUGE on giving back to our community, and will be donating a little bit from each ticket purchase to help out our chosen charities for the year (see "Charity" page). Our goal is not just to make you pee yourself, but to help out our community and give back! Our actors are entirely volunteer, some are students earning community service hours for scholarships and credit while others are adults with boring normal day jobs who just enjoy helping us help others while making you scream like the little girl you are! Although we intend to terrify you, we consider this place a safe haven for everyone and anyone to come and have a great time in a controlled and safe environment.

Q: How many people can go through the Haunt at a time?

A: Groups no larger than 6 may enter at once. However, the ticket taker may use his, her, or its, sole discretion to split groups or add to a group.

Q: I'm having a special event such as a birthday or anniversary, is there anything extra special you can do for me?

A: Absolutely! Depending on what you'd like we can take you on a backstage tour, let you be one of our monsters and scare your friends or guests, go in as many times as you'd like. Anything is possible, just ask, we can create any custom package that you desire!

Q: Are you open even if it rains?

A: Unfortunately no... Check our Facebook page or contact us directly for updates.

Q: What if it's TOO scary?

A: There are no refunds if you cannot make it through or cannot even enter after purchasing your ticket, and at any time you may ask one of our actors to escort you out. We have MANY emergency exits in our attractions and can get you out in a timely manner should you feel too scared.

Q: Photos?

A: We will have a FREE photo area while you wait in line! One of our staff will gladly take a FREE picture of you and your friends with our camera and will post it to our social media networks for you to tag and share! However, once inside any of our attractions, you may not use photography of any kind.

Q: Can I drink or smoke while in The Scream CT?

A: Absolutely not! We are technically a "F.E.C." or "Family Entertainment Center", smoking is not allowed under any circumstance on our property, even while waiting in line! And don't even THINK about consuming alcohol in, or around our park, and drinking before you come will get you a one way ticket right out of the park! No one under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance will be allowed into the building, never mind into the attractions!

Q: Will actors touch us?

A: Absolutely not! If you don't touch them, they won't touch you. However, due to the nature of a dark and very active environment, please be reasonable when an actor may accidentally rub or bump against you, it is never intentional and they have all been trained and briefed in how to interact with you safely, likewise, we can also forgive you should you get really scared and back up into one of our props or actors, contact is inevitable in some cases, we do our best to prevent it and ask that anyone who does make contact to handle it maturely and reasonably.

Q: Will we get wet?

A: We will never destroy your clothes! However, a couple of our props and animations may or may not have a water spitter. Chances are you will NOT even get wet, if anything, it is about as harmful as the water misters that keep your vegetables "fresh" at your local super market. So don't put up a fuss about it ya pansies!

Q: Is it safe?

A: Yes!!! We have taken every measure imaginable to ensure the safety of our customers and employees alike. We are in a safe location, with an incredible video surveillance and security system, as well as wide walkways with many secret exits that our actors know about in case we need to escort anyone out in a hurry. However, this is an entertainment center that will TEST the limits of your FEARS, and common sense is advised. We are not responsible for your stupidity, and don't try anything stupid because you are being watched by our video system no matter where you are in our park. If you try anything stupid, we will not only find you, but we will escort you out and will have a nice free ride to jail waiting for you. So be smart, scream loud, and everyone will get to go home with only our controlled nightmares haunting you.

Q: Is there an age limit?

A: We do not recommend anyone under the age of 14 entering our attraction. HOWEVER, we have seen some 6 year olds act braver than their parents at times, and we've seen boyfriends scream worse than their girlfriends. If you are young, it is up to your parents to decide whether or not you belong here, and if you are a pansy and know that you are a pansy, we are not responsible for you soiling your undies when you go through and act like a total pansy. Ya pansy.

Q: What if I have a medical condition?

A: If you know or think you may have a medical condition, you have been warned about the fog, mist, strobe's, intense smells and sounds, and should use your best judgment. If you are pregnant, don't be stupid and go through, if you have a heart condition, use your head and don't go through, if you are prone to seizures, going through is absolutely DUMB. We can't always see your physical ailments or impaired mental health right away, so please use common sense and don't be stupid, you have been warned not to go through if you have or may have ANY sort of medical or mental condition that may make this haunted house your last, we don't want you or your family to come crying to us when you get hurt. You should have known better! You assume any and all risks and liability by entering, end of story.

Q:What if I lose something inside the attraction?

A: The Scream CT is NOT responsible or liable for any lost or stolen items. We can not search the haunted house during regular operating hours, but will be more than willing to take your information and search for any lost items once the park is closed. We will have a lost and found on site for you to check, and will discard of any items in the lost and found if not claimed after 30 business days.

Q: How does The Scream CT compare to other haunts in the state?

A: The Scream CT is UNIQUE. We are NOTHING like any other haunted houses. Maybe it's just us and our love of haunted houses, but we recommend visiting AS MANY in the area as you can. They all have unique themes, props, actors, and scares, and we share a close relationship with our neighboring haunts!

Q: I really like scaring people, can I join up?

A: Definitely! Click here to download the volunteer form, fill it out, and either bring it to us at The Only Game during regular business hours or email it to us at: EGolinowski@aol.com
